Record Atlas
Kept in this browser · never sent anywhere

My research

The volumes you have marked, the pages you did, and where to start again. This lives in this browser only — export it to keep it.

Where this lives

In this browser, and nowhere else. It is not an account, it has never been sent to us, and we could not read it if we wanted to. That also means clearing your site data, using a private window, or picking up a different machine will not find it. Export it and you own it — the file imports on any machine, and importing merges rather than replaces, so a laptop and a phone can both be right.

The file is named record-atlas-research-…json and lands wherever this browser saves downloads — usually Downloads. A page is not allowed to know the folder, so that last part is the browser's business, not ours.

Work done by the family-research sessions

The Blažević, Defranceski, Falco, Lerena, Booyzen, D'Arcy, Mazza and Luwinski sessions record what they search — the volume, the pages, and which family each row is about — into their own archives. Their families are already in the switcher above. This page reads what they have published and folds it in when you arrive, so Kalanj, Kosina, Žubrinić, Pilipić and the rest are there to pick without importing anything.

It is merged, never imposed: a family you do not have is added, page ranges are unioned, and nothing you have marked yourself is overwritten. Add to their work and your additions stay yours. A family you delete here stays deleted — the fold happens once per published update, not once per visit.

The published file is rebuilt from the archives by scripts/import-research-sessions.py, so work a session did after the last build arrives with the next one. Import a file above still takes a hand-made file if you ever need it.

Research you have done elsewhere

Pages written as favours, on External Family Work. These are finished write-ups rather than marks, so they live on their own site and not in this browser.
