Free, no account, and the URL takes the surname uppercased, so a page can be linked to directly. WHAT IT COUNTS IS FAMILIES TODAY, NOT RECORDS. This is the Italian equivalent of the national-register rows this atlas already holds for Croatia, Slovenia and France — «how many people of that name a state counted», the closest thing to «where the name is now» — and the same caveat applies twice over: it says nothing about where a family was in 1780, and a small number tells you as much about the source as about the name. It is an INDEX, not images: there is no register behind it to open. The page carries heavy third-party advertising, which is worth knowing before sending somebody there but says nothing about the data.
